Are you developing a new method, technology, product, software tool, or creative work? Then it’s important to understand how intellectual property (IP) works. Especially if you want to protect your work or explore its potential beyond the academic context.

This masterclass provides a clear introduction to IP, tailored to researchers and early-stage entrepreneurs at Radboud University. You’ll learn what types of IP exist – including patents, copyrights, and design rights – and how they apply to research, inventions, software, games, products, and other creative outputs.

We’ll explain who owns what if you are and employee of e.g. the Radboud University and what to consider if you’re thinking about publishing, sharing, or commercializing your work.

The session includes a presentation by RVO and offers space for questions about your specific situation.
